The parents of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been laid to rest, at Kanu’s Afaraukwu residence, Abia state. The parents of Kanu were alleged to have died following traumatic and psychological experience associated with the military invasion of the royal palace on September 2017. The late traditional ruler and his wife saw the Nigerian military ravaged the Afaraukwu community, they saw blood of unarmed young men and women flowed on the ground, they felt the vibration of Nigeria military weapons of warfare devastating their community. They were subjected to psychological trauma which later deteriorated their health even unto death.”
Nnamdi Kanu’s mother had died in August following the alleged shock of the invasion of her residence by the military during Python Dance II in Umuahia in September, 2017, fuelling the speculation that the grief suffered by her husband might have contributed to his death, as well.
They were laid to rest on Friday 14 2020. See Photos
