Woman attempted to cut off boyfriend’s manhood over marriage refusal
Police command in Kaduna State have arrested a 23-year-old woman over alleged attempts to cut off boyfriend’s manhood.
It was gathered that the suspect, Aisha Abdullahi, also allegedly tried to poison the victim, Musa Abdullah, but failed before she attacked him with a knife, in Soba town, Soba Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesman of the Nigerian Police in Kaduna, DSP Yakubu Sabo, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, said preliminary investigation has already begun.
The lover, Abdullah, a health worker with Soba LGC, was reportedly rushed to a hospital within the town before he was transferred to Mannar Hospital in Zaria City where he is still undergoing treatment for the wounds sustained in the attack.
One of the sources, who did not want his name in print, said “Aisha resides at Tudun Wada while Musa resides opposite Shari’ah Court in Soba Town. They were very close such that she drove away all her suitors because he promised to marry her.
“But he later told her he was no longer interested in the relationship which upset her and she stabbed him severally with a knife.” Our reporter learnt that Abdullah sustained injuries in his face, head, nose and hand and had to undergo two surgeries on his penis because she allegedly attempted to cut it off.
The victim’s elder brother, Shehu Abdullahi, told Daily Trust that the first surgery on Musa’s penis was carried out at Soba town while the second was in Zaria.
“She tried to cut off his manhood after stabbing him on the face and hand with the help of two other masked youths, who were said to have held him while she did what she did,” he said. He said the suspect also informed one of their brothers through a text message that her action was to end Abdullah’s life because of what he did to her and for refusing to marry her.
An elder brother of the suspect, Adamu Abdullahi, said he would not want to comment on the issue, adding that the suspect would be in a better position to explain what actually pushed her to do what she did.
Confirming the arrest of the suspect, the spokesman of the police in Kaduna State, DSP Yakubu Sabo, said preliminary investigation has already begun.
“Part of her (suspect’s) claim was that he put her in the family way with the promise to marry her but refusing to do so, she took that action against him.
“But that is not an excuse in law; hence, the police will do the needful. The man is receiving treatment in hospital and the case would be transferred to state CID as soon as he is conscious enough to give his statement,” he said.
